Learn to scuba dive

Scuba diving is a diverse and exciting sport, offering endless opportunities to learn. From beginner to advanced, Cirencester Dolphin provides the full BSAC training programme enabling divers to progress through a framework of qualifications at their own pace.

With BSAC there are five internationally-recognised diver grades, from the entry- level Ocean Diver through to First Class Diver. Plus, there are many skills courses to cater for specific interests such as wreck diving, photography, seamanship or boat handling.

With BSAC, diving skills are taught progressively, with each new skill and experience built upon, step-by-step. The blend of theory, swimming pool and open water skills sessions along with continual technique practice enables you to develop your diving in a safe and enjoyable way.

At Cirencester Dolphin, we offer members the choice of training with the club itself or flexible training with our local BSAC Centre. The following may help you decide which is the best route for you, or contact us to take you through the options.

Training with the club

• We are here to help you every step of your journey, from learning to dive to
  advanced diver.
• It takes around 4 months to qualify.
• Training is led by BSAC qualified volunteer Instructors supported by Assistant Diving Instructors
• Cost is £310.50 which covers all training, student materials and equipment, our Club membership and BSAC membership. There maybe some additional costs such as kit hire, dive site access, etc.

Fast-track with our local BSAC Centre

• The course is run over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Vobster Quay.
• Cost is £545.00 which covers all training, student materials and equipment, BSAC membership. There maybe some additional costs such as kit hire, dive site access, etc.
• We are here to help you every step of your journey, from learning to dive to
  advanced diver.
• Join Cirencester Dolphin Sub-Aqua Club for £17.50 per month for ongoing training, excursions and buddies to dive with.
